Woodinville, WA, May 2002--SportsArt announces that it is sponsoring the First Annual Runner’s World Cruise. As part of its sponsorship, SportsArt is providing demonstration treadmills for the exclusive use of Runner's World Cruise participants. SportsArt will also give away one of its premium treadmills to a lucky winner on the Runner’s World cruise.

The 7-day, 6-night cruise on the Norwegian Cruise Line will include such Alaska ports as Haines, Ketchikan, Skagway, as well as Victoria, the scenic gateway city to western Canada. The cruise will bring runners and travel enthusiasts together to experience the memorable wildlife, dazzling glaciers and breathtaking mountain views of Alaska. Activities include daily onshore runs, clinics, and private parties.

Frank Shorter Joins Runner’s World Cruise
Olympic Marathon gold medalist Frank Shorter has joined the list of running luminaries who will be making the first annual Runner's World Cruise in Alaska this August 18-25. Early sign-ups for the cruise have impressed organizers, who now believe that the group will include more than 100 runners and invited guests.

In addition to Shorter, winner of the 1972 Olympic Marathon and silver medalist in the 1976 Olympic Marathon, invited guests include John "The Penguin" Bingham; RW nutrition expert Liz Applegate, Ph.D.; RW worldwide publisher George Hirsch; and RW adventure runner Bart Yasso.
