Founded in 1977, SportsArt began building fitness products on an OEM basis in 1981. Throughout the '80s and early '90s, SportsArt was firmly established as a high quality OEM vendor, producing products for leading companies such as Precor, Schwinn, Universal and Tunturi among others.

Concurrent with their growth as an OEM suppler, SportsArt began marketing their own brands in many countries around the world. In the early 1990s a decision was made to focus directly on the SportsArt brand while curtailing OEM manufacturing. Since the mid 1990s, SportsArt has emerged as the fastest growing manufacturer of specialty level cardiovascular fitness products. Since the late '90s, SportsArt has introduced more new models and innovations to the specialty fitness marketplace than any other vendor.
